High River United Church is pleased to announce the appointment of our new minister, Reverend Linda McLaren.

Rev. Linda trained as a nurse and practiced that profession in acute and community care before being called to ministry. She studied at the Vancouver School of Theology, graduating with a Masters in Divinity in 2016. 

Rev. Linda comes to us from Jasper United, where she has been ministering since 2021. She is a Healing Pathway practitioner and has a background in Children's Ministry, including spearheading a children's day camp that explored "100 Acts of Love" and a course on Hardwiring Faith Ministry in Children and Youth from VST. Linda has a passion for health and spirituality. 

Linda will begin a two-year term (with the option to renew) on August 5th. She will lead her first worship service with High River United on August 17th.  We invite you to attend the August 10th worship, where Rev. Linda will be introduced to the congregation.
