Consider a Memorial Donation to High River United Church.
The High River United Church Memorial Fund
is a place where you can make donations in memory of someone who has died. You will receive a tax receipt (at the end of the year) for your donation. The family of the person, in whose name the donation is made, will receive a letter informing them of your donation. Memorial Fund money is used for visible additions to the church – such as stain glass windows, furnishing a room, hymnbooks and pew Bibles, etc. The Church Council recommends such purchases to the Special Gifts team who make the final decision. Please consider requesting gifts to the High River United Church Memorial Fund in your funeral pre-arrangements. These gifts make a wonderful ongoing difference to helping us be a community help, home and hope.
If you would like to make a contribution to the Memorial Fund in someone’s memory, please do so through the church office. Please clearly mark on an envelope your name and the name of the person in whose memory you are making the donation, and the name and address of a family member of that person (if you know it). The person in whose memory the donation is made does not need to have been a member of the UnitedChurch. Some people in our congregation make the Memorial Fund their charity of choice for memorial donations.
For more information, speak with Marlyne Sutherland, Rose Richardson or Melanie McCracken or pick up a Special Gifts brochure from the information table outside the church office.
