Membership & Baptisms
Becoming A Member
You are welcome to attend worship, share in our programs and activities, receive communion and fully participate in the congregation whether or not you are an official member of The United Church of Canada.
Becoming a member of the United Church is a way of publicly stating your choice to follow the Way of Jesus and of offering your support to this congregation. You can officially become a member in 2 ways:
1. Baptism and Confirmation of Baptismal Vows
For those who have not yet been baptized, the sacrament of baptism is offered as a way of committing to the Christian journey and also makes you a member of The United Church of Canada. For those who have been baptized as infants or children, a ceremony of confirmation of baptismal vows is your way of claiming the Way of Jesus for yourself and your welcome into the church. If you are interested in becoming a member of the church through baptism or confirmation, speak with one of our ministers who will meet with you to discuss the process.

2. Transfer of Membership
If you are already a member of another United Church or a congregation of another denomination, speak with our Receptionist who will request a transfer of membership from your former congregation. Once we have received that transfer, we will formally welcome you into the congregation during a Sunday morning worship.
