A WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP
What do ink, watercolour paints and scavenger hunts have in
common? Join us for a summer day of art exploration & find out!
Karin Huehold, (of Itty-bitty watercolour fame) returns to High River
United Church to teach another fun-filled workshop for artists of all
levels. After warming up with design exercises, we’ll cover:
• in-depth demo of line-making using a variety of tools, India ink
and idea sharing time
• scavenger hunt (armed camera & sketchbook, we’ll gather
ideas – motifs, letters, numbers, architecture, nature, etc.)
• using our new-found references - we create a grid style
painting - square, rectangle or round - using ink and all the
mark-making tools we can get our hands on
• while that is drying......a demo and lesson on painting with
watercolour - designing with colour and value on our inked
pieces.
You might find new and inspiring ways to use your calligraphy tools
and you’ll definitely go home with a piece ready for framing!
