High River United Church of High River, Alberta

Prayers for Southern B.C.

Our beloved community of faith wishes to send our heart felt and compassion-filled prayers and thoughts to our neighbours in Southern British Columbia. We wish to express our deep concern for your well-being and to emphasize that in spite of the trauma and devastation, you are not alone. In High River we have a lived experience of what it is like to cope with a disaster of such magnitude. While each situation and context is unique, the emotional impacts are common to our past and immediate human experience of disaster. And so, we grieve with you. We hold you close. We embrace your tears. We stand with you during these early hours and first steps of finding your way towards the long journey of recovery. Focus on those you love. Lean in. And reach out to those who are at the ready to support you emotionally, physically and spiritually.
