Pointed Pen Botanicals with calligrapher Gail Oxtoby at High River United Church
Saturday, October 24, 9 am – 4 pm
Come and spend a Saturday exploring some of the versatility of the pointed pen.
Gail Oxtoby will share some of the techniques she picked up during a class with Pat Blair at “The Passionate Pen Conference this summer. Pat is a calligrapher for the White House and is passionate about the pointed pen and all its possibilities. It should be noted that this class would be appropriante for any skill level. Your skill with the pointed nib and flourishing will definitely improve while working on the excercises in this class.
We will work in black ink on white paper and also with white or coloured ink on black paper. This could end up being an alternative to zentangling for you!
