High River United Church Sunday Morning, 10 a.m. The Sunday service, led by Rev. Susan Lukey and Rev. David Robertson, offers singing, choir anthems and other music, prayer, Bible readings, reflection and inspiration. Children stay in the sanctuary for the first part of the
service, and are then invited to go to their Sunday School
classes. A brand new nursery is available for infants and younger children.
The Wednesday evening services of prayer and song will begin again early in 2009. These 7 p.m. services, generally led by Rev. David Robertson, are specifically meant to help people pray and deepen their spiritual life. Busy-ness gets in the way of our well being more often than not. The Wednesday evening service offers help, home and hope. Wednesday evening is set aside for everyone to slow their breath, and drop anchor long enough to rest in God. The service itself is no more than 45 minutes and explores a variety of worship forms including Celtic Christian prayer, Taize prayer, silent meditation, walking the labyrinth and more.
