An Indwelling of Hopefulness
In this fractured time, when life has demanded changes and adaptations beyond what we could have imagined last year at this time, I share this poem that I found recently:
An abundance of faith is the antidote for our crippling despair.
An indwelling of hopefulness is the helpful cure for our debilitating cynicism.
A loving spirit is the corrective response to the anger and indifference
we encounter daily in life. Virginia Keene
May we allow an abundance of faith, an indwelling of hopefulness and a loving spirit to shape our daily life as followers of the Way of Jesus. These are spiritual practices - we can choose hopefulness, choose faith and choose to act with a loving spirit. It may take practice. There may be days when it is difficult. But it is to this that Jesus calls us. May we practice these gifts in our lives.
In Christ and with love,
