A Message to Connect - March 24, 2020
Hello HRUC community & friends,
On this snowy spring morning, our hearts reach out to each of you.
This morning’s scripture reading begins by asking:
The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?
There is more than enough fear and alarm going around these days.
As people of faith, we are not immune to it.
But we have our faith to bring alongside the alarm.
There are several phrases that jump out for me in the psalm:
vs. 11: lead me on a level path, o Lord.
That’s what we need right now – to be held on a level path by faith, rather than being tossed about the various ups and downs of the news.
and
Vs. 13: I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
God is the love and wisdom that weaves the whole world together.
When we open ourselves to God’s love and wisdom, there is a way through, there is hope, and blessings abound.
We invite you to look for the blessings today.
We invite you to pause at various moments, to take a deep breath, and to welcome God’s love to enfold you.
For God’s love is there for you – rest in it today.
Many blessings to each of you,
Rev. Susan & Rev. David
